At the SEA V.League 2025 taking place from August 1 to 3 in Ratchasima (Thailand), the Vietnamese women's team will compete with Thailand, the Philippines and Indonesia in a round robin to calculate points and rankings.
On the opening day of the tournament on the afternoon of August 1, the Vietnamese women's team did not encounter many difficulties in defeating Indonesia despite not fielding their strongest lineup.
Although there was no presence of opposite setter Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen, with Thanh Thuy, Lam Oanh, Kieu Trinh, Nhu Quynh or Khanh Dang, the Vietnamese women's team still created a superior game.
In the first two sets, Thanh Thuy and her teammates destroyed Indonesia with a score of 25-11 and took a 2-0 lead.
In set 3, the Indonesian girls tried harder to shorten the score gap but still lost 22-25.
In the end, the Vietnamese team won absolutely after 3 sets 25-11, 25-11 and 25-22 and had a smooth start at the tournament.
In the second match taking place on August 2, coach Tran Tuan Kiet and his team will meet the Philippines women's team.
