(DN) - The Department of Agriculture and Environment has recently granted an environmental license to Long Thanh Riverside Joint Stock Company to carry out environmental protection activities for the planned residential area of 40.77 hectares in Long Thanh town, Long Thanh district (Zone 1 and Zone 2 phases).

Specifically, in Document No. 581/GPMT-SNNMT signed on June 19, 2025 by the Department of Agriculture and Environment, it is stated that the project is in the form of technical infrastructure construction for residential areas and real estate business. The licensed area is the low-rise housing area in Zone 1 with an area of nearly 31,000 m2 with 235 houses and the low-rise housing area in Zone 2 with an area of nearly 37,000 m2 with 272 houses. In addition, there is a traffic road item with an area of nearly 70,000 m2; trees, parks, and water surfaces with an area of more than 41,000 m2.

Environmental works include: wastewater treatment plant with capacity of ^450m3 /day of wastewater treatment plant with capacity of 990m3/day and night; area for storing domestic solid waste and hazardous waste with construction land area of nearly 78m2 .

Group B projects are classified according to the criteria prescribed by law on public investment; Group II according to the provisions of the Law on Environmental Protection 2020.

Contents of environmental licensing and accompanying environmental protection requirements: permission to discharge wastewater into the environment and comply with environmental protection requirements; permission to discharge exhaust gas into the environment and comply with environmental protection requirements; ensure limit values for noise, vibration and comply with environmental protection requirements according to the accompanying plan. The Department of Agriculture and Environment requires Long Thanh Riverside Joint Stock Company to only be allowed to carry out the licensing contents after completing the corresponding environmental protection works. The license is valid for 10 years (from June 19, 2025 to June 19, 2035).
