Russian, Chinese, Lao and Cambodian troops are expected to participate in the parade to celebrate National Day on September 2.

At the regular Government press conference on the afternoon of August 7, Major General Tong Van Thanh, Deputy Director of the Propaganda Department, General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, informed about the preparations for the parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2 and the message sent to the people on this occasion.

Major General Tong Van Thanh said that the organization of the parade and march during the celebration was assigned by the Central Government to the Ministry of National Defense to preside over, coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security , the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Hanoi city and related units to organize on the morning of September 2.

Implementing the Central's directives and instructions, from the second quarter of 2024, the Ministry of National Defense has directed the General Staff to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies, units and the Hanoi People's Committee to conduct a field survey at Ba Dinh Square, assembly areas, parade routes and draft the project. Next, the unit will organize workshops and complete the project.

"Thus, the project development was implemented early, proactively, meticulously and closely," Major General Tong Van Thanh emphasized.

Regarding the organization of forces, Major General Tong Van Thanh said that there are 6 forces participating in the parade, specifically: Traditional torch bearer force and fire guard; Artillery force; Air force flying salute; Parade and marching force (including 4 ceremonial blocks; 43 blocks representing the people's armed forces - 26 Army blocks, 17 Police blocks - foreign military blocks, expected 4 blocks including China, Russia, Laos, Cambodia...); The background force includes the ceremonial guard, 11 army blocks, 7 police blocks; The force forming shapes and letters chaired by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Regarding the parade, the march of the blocks, Major General Tong Van Thanh said in order: Parade of the honor guard; parade of the walking blocks; parade of the military vehicles and artillery; special police vehicles; parade of the armed forces at sea; parade of the masses.

After marching through Ba Dinh Square, the blocs will march on the streets and interact with the people at two locations: Quan Ngua Sports Palace and August Revolution Square.

Regarding the situation and results of the training, Major General Tong Van Thanh said that the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security have directed the training of forces participating in the A80 mission since the beginning of May 2025, organizing 4 joint training sessions and 2 combined training sessions. Up to now, all units and forces have completed the training program well and are ready to carry out the mission.

Major General Tong Van Thanh informed about some key milestones, including the state-level preliminary review at 8:00 p.m. on August 27, 2025; the state-level general review at 6:30 a.m. on August 30, 2025; and the official ceremony at 6:30 a.m. on September 2, 2025 at Ba Dinh Square.

Major General Tong Van Thanh emphasized that the message of the parade and march during the Anniversary Ceremony is to convey the following messages.

Specifically, firstly , it affirms the position, great stature, and great historical value of the August Revolution and the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, in the history of the nation's struggle to build and defend the country; the continuous growth of the Vietnam People's Army, the militia and self-defense force, and the People's Public Security over the past 80 years under the wise leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Second is to educate revolutionary ideals, patriotic traditions; pride, self-respect, and the spirit of great national unity; to inculcate the morality of "When drinking water, generations have sacrificed their bones and remember the source"; to express deep gratitude to generations who sacrificed their blood and bones for the independence, freedom, and unification of the Fatherland; to arouse revolutionary heroism; the will to be self-reliant and self-reliant, and the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country in the spirit of the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party.

Third is to demonstrate the strength of the people's armed forces; affirm the determination of the entire Party, people and army to successfully carry out the national renewal process initiated and led by the Party and firmly protect the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland in all situations.

Fourth , the parade program is organized solemnly, dignifiedly, regularly, securely, safely and economically; the participating forces are streamlined and modern, demonstrating the unity and regularity of the people's armed forces; the cultural identity and aspiration for peace of the Vietnamese people.
