EVNGENCO3 and Vietcombank signed a contract to restructure foreign loans.

On June 11, 2024, in Ho Chi Minh City, Power Generation Corporation 3 (EVNGENCO3) and Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam ( Vietcombank ) Vung Tau Branch held a signing ceremony for the Foreign Loan Restructuring Contract - Mong Duong 1 Thermal Power Plant Project. Attending the signing ceremony, on the side of Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN), there were Mr. Nguyen Xuan Nam - Deputy General Director and representatives of the Finance - Accounting Department of the Group. On the side of Vietcombank, there were Mr. Nguyen Viet Cuong - Deputy General Director, Mr. Doan Van Tuyen - Director of Vietcombank Vung Tau and representatives of the Leaders of the units and Boards of Vietcombank. On the side of Power Generation Corporation 3 (EVNGENCO3), there were Mr. Dinh Quoc Lam - Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Le Van Danh - General Director, members of the Board of Directors, Deputy General Directors, representatives of the Boards of the Corporation and Director of Mong Duong Thermal Power Company. In the face of the volatile situation of the world , interest rates and USD/VND exchange rates increased sharply, in order to minimize the impact of exchange rate risks and optimize financial costs, EVNGENCO3 has implemented a plan to restructure foreign debt with Vietcombank Vung Tau Branch to restructure foreign loans with a converted value of 2,075 billion VND. Mr. Le Van Danh - General Director of EVNGENCO3 shared that this signing ceremony is the foundation for the Corporation to continue implementing solutions to improve financial capacity and invest in new power source projects in the future. Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Nam - Deputy General Director of EVN highly appreciated the initiative and determination of EVNGENCO3 in implementing solutions to optimize financial costs.
