On the morning of July 1, the price of SJC gold bars was simultaneously adjusted by SJC, PNJ, and DOJI companies to VND118.3 million/tael for buying and VND120.3 million/tael for selling - an increase of VND1.1 million compared to yesterday. This is a very strong increase in the past few days and the highest in the past 2 weeks.
Similarly, 99.99% gold rings and jewelry gold were traded at VND114 million/tael for buying and VND116.5 million/tael for selling - an increase of VND700,000.
Domestic gold prices suddenly increased sharply following the upward trend of world gold prices, after many days of stability or fluctuation within a narrow range.
Gold prices today rose in line with the international market. The price of precious metals on the international market is far above the 3,300 USD/ounce mark. At 9:00 a.m., Vietnam time, the gold price was trading at 3,318 USD/ounce, up about 40 USD compared to the previous session.
SJC gold bar price suddenly skyrocketed
Gold prices rebounded after falling to a five-week low. This week, the market awaits new information on US monetary policy and developments in tariff negotiations.
The US dollar fell to a multi-year low in the international market, also supporting gold prices. The US dollar index (DXY) is currently trading around 96.7 points, the lowest since 2022.
Currently, the world gold price converted according to the listed exchange rate is about 105.2 million VND/tael, lower than the price of SJC gold bars by about 15 million VND/tael. The gap between domestic and world gold prices is still very high.
