World oil prices

At 6:00 a.m. on November 26, Brent crude oil price decreased by 2.16 USD, equivalent to 2.87%, to 73.01 USD/barrel. WTI crude oil price decreased by 0.01 USD, equivalent to 0.01%, to 68.95 USD/barrel.

Oil prices fell after reports that Israel and Lebanon had agreed to the terms of a deal to end the Israel-Hezbollah conflict.

Giovanni Staunovo, an expert at UBS, said that this information was the main factor causing the price of oil to fall. However, he emphasized that the real impact will depend on whether the agreement is implemented or not.

Phil Flynn, senior analyst at Price Futures Group, said the price swings reflected concerns about supply. He noted that oil prices surged last week after Russia launched hypersonic missiles into Ukraine in response to Ukraine’s attack on Russian territory using U.S. and British weapons.
