World oil prices
On the morning of August 7, 2025 (Vietnam time), Brent oil price increased by 1.24% to 68.53 USD/barrel, WTI oil increased by 1.15% to 65.95 USD/barrel, after reaching a 5-week low.
Prices rose as US crude inventories fell by 3 million barrels, exceeding forecasts, and US President Donald Trump imposed a 25% tariff on Indian goods over Russian oil imports. However, progress in US-Russia talks on Ukraine and OPEC+ plans to increase production weighed on the market.
Domestic gasoline prices
Domestic retail prices of gasoline and oil, according to the adjustment period of July 31, 2025, include: E5RON92 gasoline 19,401 VND/liter (up 122 VND/liter), RON95 19,840 VND/liter (up 131 VND/liter), diesel 19,068 VND/liter (down 61 VND/liter), kerosene 18,714 VND/liter (up 86 VND/liter), mazut 15,533 VND/kg (up 154 VND/kg).

Market situation
The oil market is affected by the US-EU trade agreement, the Russia-Ukraine conflict, and US oil inventories. World oil prices fluctuated, with RON92 gasoline up 0.77%, RON95 up 0.75%, kerosene up 0.44%, diesel down 0.5%, and fuel oil up 1.2%. India is unlikely to reduce its purchases of Russian oil due to high profits, while Saudi Arabia has increased its oil prices to Asia.
