After the adjustment by the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance, gasoline prices increased from 3:00 p.m. on July 31.

Specifically, the price of RON 95-III gasoline (the popular type on the market) increased by 140 VND, to 19,840 VND/liter. E5 RON 92 also increased by 130 VND, to 19,400 VND.

On the contrary, diesel oil decreased by 60 VND, down to 19,060 VND/liter. Compared to 7 days ago, kerosene cost 18,710 VND/liter, and fuel oil increased to 15,530 VND.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade said that it has basically completed the review, assessment and analysis of the implementation of Decision 53/2012 on the roadmap for applying the blending ratio of biofuels with traditional fuels. Manufacturing enterprises and business contacts are required to prepare facilities, equipment and means to be ready for the production, blending, transportation and distribution of E10 biofuel nationwide.

From August 1, the two largest petroleum market players, Petrolimex and PVOIL, will pilot the sale of E10 gasoline, a biofuel that mixes 10% ethanol into mineral gasoline. Petrolimex will pilot the sale of this gasoline in Ho Chi Minh City, while PVOIL will deploy it in Hanoi and Hai Phong. This is the first step in the nationwide transition to green fuel, expected to begin in 2026.
