Xinhua news agency reported that during the talks, Prime Minister Li Qiang affirmed that China is willing to cooperate with Belarus to support each other in protecting core interests.
According to him, the two countries are still truly good friends and partners and are constantly strengthening political trust and enhancing mutually beneficial cooperation.
Beijing expressed its commitment to working with Minsk to fully implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, and to firmly support each other in safeguarding each other's core interests.
China is willing to strengthen communication and cooperation with Belarus in the United Nations, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and other multilateral mechanisms, actively implement the three global initiatives, promote the implementation of genuine multilateralism, and jointly build a community with a shared future.
For his part, Prime Minister Golovchenko assessed that under the strategic guidance of Chinese President Xi Jinping and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, bilateral relations have made significant progress in recent years.
Minsk is willing to continue to be a good friend and partner of Beijing, firmly adhere to the "one China" principle, and support the Northeast Asian country's stance on the issues of Hong Kong, Xinjiang and Tibet.
At the talks, the leaders of the two governments announced the official launch of the “China-Belarus Science and Technology Innovation Year 2024-2025” and the establishment of two centers to demonstrate the developing relations between the two sides.
After the talks, the Chinese Premier and his Belarusian counterpart signed a joint communique between the two governments and witnessed the signing of a number of bilateral cooperation documents on Belt and Road cooperation, trade and investment in services, green development, science and technology, culture and local issues.
According to Sputnik news agency, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said that the joint statement said the two sides "will jointly defend the international system with the United Nations as its core and the international order based on international law, and oppose all forms of hegemony and force politics."
Beijing and Minsk pledged to build a new type of international relations and support an equal multipolar world, international cooperation based on common interests and peaceful resolution of conflicts.
Besides, China and Belarus will firmly oppose external forces interfering in other countries' internal affairs under any pretext as well as applying double standards on democracy and human rights issues.
