Among them, the most prominent activities are those that help children both study and play from volunteer teams and localities and units.

Organize free classes
From late June to early July 2025, the Provincial Youth Union and Provincial Student Association launched the Green Shirt Tutor Team - teaching English and literacy to disadvantaged children who do not have the conditions to go to school. The first class was held at Phap Tuyen Buddhist Temple (Trang Dai Ward) attracting more than 50 children in the ward to participate.
This summer, Nguyen Thi Thao Minh (10 years old, living in neighborhood 4, Trang Dai ward) came to class at Phap Tuyen Buddhist temple.
Thao Minh said: My parents are both workers, I myself am sick so I do not go to school. For many years I stayed at home, rarely interacted with strangers, so I am somewhat shy. Recently, with the encouragement of my sister, I attended a class at Phap Tuyen Buddhist Temple. With enthusiastic teaching and encouragement from the volunteers, Thao Minh is now more confident and knows how to read and write simple words.
To replicate the Green Shirt Tutor model, the Youth Union of communes, wards, and the Green Summer Volunteer Team (MHX) of universities have organized classes in the stationed areas. In particular, the Youth Union of Dak O commune coordinated with the MHX Volunteer Team of Vietnam Aviation Academy to organize Green Classes - Nurturing Knowledge in the commune. The MHX Volunteer Team of Eastern University of Technology organized free English classes for students at the Soklu charity class (Gia Kiem commune) and Lac Hong University organized free English classes at Tan An Kindergarten (Tan An commune).
Sharing about the Green Shirt Tutor Class taking place at Tan An Kindergarten, Vice Principal of Tan An Kindergarten Vo Ngoc Hue said: The school currently has 65 children studying at 2 facilities. To help children get acquainted with English, 2-3 years ago, the school signed a contract with a center to teach English to children 1 hour per week and within a month the children will learn English with foreigners. Since more volunteers came to the school to teach English for free, the children have had 3 more English lessons per week. In addition to teaching English, volunteers also incorporate dancing, singing, and playing games, so the children are very excited every time it's time to study.
English.
Not only teaching English and supplementing culture, volunteer teams also focus on equipping skills for children. The Green Seed Protection Journey carried out by the MHX Volunteer Team of the Forestry University branch in Dong Nai helped students of Cay Diep Primary School (Bau Ham commune) identify risks and know how to prevent accidents, injuries, drowning, and child abuse.
Maintain summer entertainment activities
In the context of all levels and sectors focusing on the work of reorganizing the apparatus, summer activities for children are more or less affected. Realizing this, the Provincial Youth Union has directed the commune and ward Youth Unions to coordinate with schools to effectively receive, manage and organize summer activities for children in residential areas. On that basis, units and commune and ward Youth Unions have proactively developed plans to organize summer activities for children through many forms.
In particular, since the beginning of summer, Dong Nai Children's House has maintained and opened talent classes and life skills classes, and has also successfully coordinated the program "I am a police officer"; organized live and online competitions and performances in the fields of culture, literature, and art...
Most recently, Dong Nai Children's House in collaboration with SNA Marianapolis International School - Bien Hoa Campus (in Tran Bien Ward) organized a Drawing Contest with the theme of Patriotism in your own way. The contest attracted over 300 children from inside and outside the province to participate.
As one of the contestants participating in the Patriotic Painting Contest in your own way, Luu Tran Nhu Ngoc (student of grade 8/6, Vinh Tan Secondary School, Tan An Commune) said: This is a useful playground, an opportunity for me to show my talent; at the same time, it is an opportunity for me to exchange and learn more experiences from the contestants to be able to develop my drawing ability.
In addition to traditional playgrounds, units and localities also organize skill and professional training camps. In particular, this year's summer activities also include activities related to technology and artificial intelligence (AI). In this year's summer life skills class program, Dong Nai Children's House has connected children to visit and experience the Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Technology Center of Dong Nai University of Technology. Recently, An Phuoc Commune Youth Union has coordinated to organize an AI - Artificial Intelligence workshop for children. These activities not only contribute to enriching summer activities, but also help children get acquainted with technology and AI; effectively apply AI in learning and life.
