For special anniversaries, Google often changes the homepage's profile picture to a doodle containing a message that reminds of the event.

Today, September 2, when accessing the Google homepage, users in Vietnam see a special icon appear above the search box, which is the image of the red flag with a yellow star - the Vietnamese national flag flying in the blue sky.

Sharing about this doodle, Google stated: “Today's doodle celebrates Vietnam's National Day! On this day in 1945, thousands of people gathered at Ba Dinh Square in Hanoi to listen to the President read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam” (now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam).

Also according to the world's largest search platform, National Day September 2 is an occasion for Vietnamese people to honor the contributions and sacrifices of previous generations to gain independence and freedom for the nation, and at the same time is a reminder for today's generation to continue to inherit and continue the legacy of their ancestors.

On this important occasion, people often gather to participate in cultural activities and immerse themselves in the bustling, joyful atmosphere of music, dance and art performances held across the country.

“Many people also visit historical sites such as Hanoi’s Old Quarter and Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, which is decorated with the Vietnamese national flag with a red flag and a yellow star – just like the flag in today’s artwork,” Google added, not forgetting to mention some traditional Vietnamese dishes that are loved by many people such as pho, banh mi, bun bo Hue…

Google ends the description with congratulations on Vietnam National Day.
