Statistics from the Hanoi New Rural Development Program Coordination Office show that from 2021 to 2023, the city has been recognized by the Prime Minister as having 11 more districts meeting new rural standards (2 years ahead of the target of Program 04). To date, 17/17 districts and Son Tay town of Hanoi have met new rural standards.
After reaching the finish line, the districts continued to mobilize resources from the Central Government and the City to upgrade the criteria. To date, the City has had 5 districts (Thanh Tri, Gia Lam, Hoai Duc, Dong Anh, Thanh Oai) recognized by the Prime Minister as meeting advanced new rural standards.
Regarding the new rural commune target, since 2021, the city has recognized 14 more communes, bringing the total number of communes meeting new rural standards in Hanoi to 382/382 (100%), completing 4 years ahead of schedule the target of Program 04, phase 2021 - 2025.
In the period from 2021 to present, the City has recognized 200 more communes meeting advanced new rural standards, bringing the total number of advanced new rural communes to 229/382 (equal to 59.9% of the total number of communes) (reaching 146.8% compared to the target of Program 04 by 2025 of having 156 advanced new rural communes).
Regarding the target of model new rural communes, from 2021 to now, the city has recognized 109 more communes meeting model new rural standards, reaching 136.2% of the target of Program 04 by 2025 of having 80 model new rural communes.
Thus, in the spirit of drastic direction of the City Party Committee, the Steering Committee of Program 04 and the Hanoi People's Committee, in 2024, 5 targets were achieved and exceeded 1 year ahead of the Program's target set by the end of 2025.
Specifically, the criteria are: District meeting new rural standards; District meeting advanced new rural standards; Commune meeting new rural standards; Commune meeting advanced new rural standards; Commune meeting model new rural standards.
