Delta Air Lines spokesman Anthony Black said the wingtip of a Delta Airbus A350 "collided" with a Delta CRJ 900 jet operated by Endeavor Airlines on the morning of September 10.

No one was injured in the collision and passengers on the Delta CRJ 900 were taken back to the terminal by bus. The other plane was taken to an airport concourse where passengers were able to disembark at the gate.
Photos on social media showed the tail of the Delta CRJ 900 separated from the rest of the plane, and was accompanied by airport recovery vehicles. “The entire tail of that CRJ was destroyed,” an air traffic controller said.

Delta said passengers will be placed on alternative flights. There were 221 passengers on the Airbus and 56 on the CRJ.
The FAA is investigating what happened, and Delta said it is cooperating with the US National Transportation Safety Board and other authorities on the incident.
Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport was the number one airport by passenger volume in 2023 and is expected to serve about 110 million passengers by 2024, according to the Airports Council International's preliminary 2023 rankings released in April.
