Customs stops accepting declarations from 10pm on June 30 to 5am on July 1

Vietnam Customs temporarily stops accepting declarations from 10pm on June 30 to 5am on July 1 to upgrade the information technology system, allowing people and businesses to proactively resolve and implement their work.

The Customs Department has just issued Official Dispatch 11066/CHQ-CNTT to the State Treasury, the Tax Department, the Department of Information Technology and Digital Transformation ( Ministry of Finance ); commercial banks; Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry regarding stopping receiving declarations from 10:00 p.m. on June 30, 2025 to 5:00 a.m. on July 1, 2025.

Accordingly, from June 30, 2025, the customs authority will deploy an information technology system to meet the requirements of the new organizational structure. To prepare for the system deployment, the Customs Department will temporarily stop accepting customs declarations during the above-mentioned period.

The suspension of accepting declarations may affect the import and export activities of people and businesses. Therefore, the Customs Department would like to notify the above organizations to be aware and proactive in implementing the work.

In the first 6 months of 2025, customs ensured customs clearance of import and export goods with a turnover of 390.91 billion USD, an increase of 15.3% over the same period last year. As of June 15, 2025, the budget revenue of the customs sector reached 201,414 billion VND, equal to 49% of the assigned estimate and 42.9% of the target, an increase of 10.7% over the same period in 2024.

The Customs Department has successfully reorganized its apparatus, reducing 485 units out of the previous total of 902 units, equivalent to 53.77%.
