Customs Department information Customs gate Noi Bai international airport Through professional measures and analysis of luggage screening images at exit A1, recently, Noi Bai International Airport Customs discovered that in the luggage of passenger CPH (Taiwanese, Chinese nationality) entering the country on flight VN579 from Taiwan (China) to Noi Bai airport, there were suspicious objects in 4 camera lenses.
Immediately afterwards, the Noi Bai International Airport Customs force presided over and coordinated with the Anti-smuggling Control Team No. 1 - Anti-smuggling Investigation Department (Customs Department) and the Noi Bai International Airport Police Station to inspect all the luggage of CPH passengers.
This passenger was found to be carrying 12 pieces of yellow metal (suspected to be gold) weighing nearly 2kg hidden in a camera lens in his suitcase, worth more than 5.5 billion VND.
All exhibits and passengers were handed over by Noi Bai International Airport Customs to Hanoi City Police for handling according to regulations.
In recent times, the situation of smuggling and trade fraud has continued to develop in a complicated manner, with many sophisticated tricks and new forms of fraud such as origin fraud, trademark counterfeiting, infringement of intellectual property rights, taking advantage of processing activities, export production, transit, and transshipment business to avoid trade defense measures and economic protection, illegal transportation of goods, etc.
To prevent this, the leaders of the Customs Department have directed units to strengthen the application of professional measures, detect, combat, prevent, arrest and strictly handle violations.
