Tens of thousands of households in the city will have their water cut off or have weak water at night on weekends while the water supply industry conducts periodic maintenance at Tan Hiep plant and Hoa Phu pumping station.
Water supply will be interrupted from 10pm on March 16 to 4am on March 17. In particular, wards 7, 13, 15 (District 8) and Tan Kien and Tan Tuc communes (Binh Chanh district) will be completely cut off.
Many other places also had weak water during the maintenance period, including: Binh Tan District, Hoc Mon District. District 6 (wards 6, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14). District 8 (wards 6, 14, 16). Go Vap (wards 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16). Tan Binh District (wards 12, 13, 14, 15).

In District 12, many wards were also affected, including: Tan Thoi Nhat, Tan Hung Thuan, Dong Hung Thuan, Trung My Tay, Tan Chanh Hiep, Tan Thoi Hiep, Hiep Thanh, Thoi An, Thanh Xuan. Tan Phu District includes the wards: Tay Thanh, Son Ky, Tan Son Nhi, Tan Quy, Tan Thanh, Phu Tho Hoa, Phu Thanh, Hoa Thanh, Hiep Tan, Tan Thoi Hoa.
Binh Chanh district includes the communes: Vinh Loc A, Vinh Loc B, Pham Van Hai, Binh Loi, Le Minh Xuan, Tan Nhut, Binh Chanh, An Phu Tay, Tan Quy Tay, Phong Phu, Binh Hung.
Saigon Water Corporation (Sawaco) said that when the water supply system resumes, some areas far from the source may recover more slowly than expected. The unit will regulate the water supply network and increase water supply by tanker trucks to important affected areas.
