Mr. Nghiem Manh Tuan - Director of Vinh International Airport said: During this peak season, the number of passengers increased by about 50% compared to normal days, but compared to last year's Tet, the output decreased because the flights Vinh - Can Tho, Vinh - Phu Quoc or Vinh - Buon Ma Thuot of VietJet were canceled and only VietNam Airlines served with 2 flights Vinh - Noi Bai, Vinh - Tan Son Nhat and vice versa.

Vietnam Airlines representative - Vinh branch office added: Compared to before, flights to Vinh mainly landed at night from 1-3 am. In addition, to better serve tourists and limit flight delays or cancellations, Vinh International Airport and Vietnam Airlines based on weather forecasts coordinate to adjust take-off/landing times to suit Nghe An weather conditions, thereby reducing flight cancellations or delays.
Even on this December 28th, although Nghe An has fog, no flights were delayed or canceled; it is expected that today and tomorrow (December 29th) there will be 42 takeoffs and landings.
