Coach Dinh The Nam parted ways with PVF.

The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) had to add 10 players and travel by road to quickly arrive in Cambodia. In the semi-final match, goalkeeper Tran Liem Dieu had to enter the field to play as a striker when his teammates were injured one after another. U23 Vietnam defeated U23 Timor Leste and advanced to the final match. Coach Dinh The Nam and his team had only 16 players but still defeated U23 Thailand and won the tournament championship.

Coach Dinh The Nam brought a breath of fresh air to the U23 Vietnam team with his beautiful playing style. After that, Mr. Nam was assigned to lead the U19 Vietnam team. However, this former midfielder often only played a "temporary" role at the national youth team level.

During his career, Coach Dinh The Nam spent many years playing football for Hai Phong Police Club, Air Defense - Air Force Club and The Cong Club. Mr. Nam won the National Championship in 1990 with The Cong Club.

After parting ways with PVF, Coach Dinh The Nam will spend time resting with his family. The 58-year-old strategist left open the possibility of leading professional football teams in the near future.
