In July, the weather in the province has showers in many places, only a few days of widespread heavy rain or local heavy rain.
However, heavy rain and strong winds blew off the roofs of 7 houses, 1 rice warehouse and 0.45ha of perennial trees (jackfruit, longan, durian) in Phu Quoi and An Binh communes, causing an estimated loss of about 155 million VND. Landslides and subsidence occurred in 16 sections of 389m long, affecting 13 households, causing an estimated loss of nearly 1.5 billion VND. Cumulative damage caused by natural disasters since the beginning of the year is over 4.1 billion VND, and damage repair costs are over 2.2 billion VND.
In the coming time, the Department of Agriculture and Environment will continue to monitor the development of natural disasters in order to promptly advise on prevention and response and forward the above information to relevant agencies and units. At the same time, proactively take measures to prevent, respond to and overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
