According to the announced list, two players who will not continue to accompany the Vietnamese women's team at ASIAD 19 are striker Vu Thi Hoa and defender Nguyen Thi Thuy Linh.

According to VFF, striker Vu Thi Hoa suffered a minor ankle injury and will need about 2 weeks to fully recover.

Meanwhile, Nguyen Thi Thuy Linh failed to qualify for the tournament in her first call-up to the national team.

Previously, two key players of the Vietnamese women's team, Huynh Nhu and Chuong Thi Kieu, could not go to China with their teammates to attend the tournament.

It was predicted that captain striker Huynh Nhu would not attend the 2023 Asian Games.

Center back Chuong Thi Kieu also had to say goodbye to her teammates a few days ago due to her injury not fully recovering.

According to plan, the Vietnamese women's team will leave for Wenzhou, China at 11:45 am tomorrow (September 19).

The flight carrying coach Mai Duc Chung and his team will transit in Guangzhou before landing at 6:55 p.m. the same day at Wenzhou city airport.

At ASIAD 19, the Vietnamese women's team is in Group D of women's football at the 2023 Asian Games (ASIAD 19) with the teams of Nepal, Bangladesh and Japan.
