Coach Teguramori Makoto shared about the weaknesses of Vietnamese players: "I realize that although they are playing in the most professional environment in Vietnam, many players are too satisfied with the present.

They need to be more confident, strive to develop themselves and broaden their vision of the world . Only by setting bigger goals can they elevate themselves.”

Previously, goalkeeper Nguyen Filip also looked directly at this issue. He said that his teammates in Vietnam were afraid to step out of their comfort zone.

The Czech goalkeeper said: “Most players want to play in their home country. As far as I can see, only about 5 players want to play abroad. For me, it was a little shock. But thinking back, I understand.

The players have everything here. They don’t have to learn another language if they only play football in Vietnam, right? Plus, the players want to stay here because they are big stars, with very stable income.”

Coach Teguramori Makoto has just extended his contract with Hanoi FC for another year. He hopes to reap success with the capital team next season: “When the season ended, I thought about returning to Japan, I also received a few invitations. However, I saw a great opportunity, good squad and determination to celebrate the 20th season. Therefore, I decided to stay.

I want to regain everything that has been lost, the team will win the championship and reach the continent. I think we need to improve the spirit of solidarity, when we become one block, the best results will come."

The 2025/26 V-League season will take place from August 15. In the opening match, Hanoi FC will face Ho Chi Minh City Police Club at Thong Nhat Stadium.
