Building cultural villages and communes
Located along the Serepok River, more than 4,900 Ede people in Tam Thang Commune, Cu Jut District are settling, gathering, living in harmony, and supporting each other in 4 villages: Nui, Buor, Trum and Ea Po.
Over the years, with the attention of the Party and State, the Ede people have overcome difficulties together, constantly improving the quality of their material and spiritual life.
Taking us to visit Nui village, Mr. Tran Manh Truong, a cultural and social officer of Tam Thang commune, said that as soon as the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" was launched, the villages established a mobilization committee consisting of village elders, prestigious people, representatives of mass organizations, political organizations ... to propagate and mobilize descendants in the village and in the family to implement it.
Along with the construction of new rural cultural life, the cultural identity values of the Ede ethnic group in Tam Thang are still preserved and constantly restored. Every year, the commune government coordinates with the district and the provincial Department of Culture to actively restore a number of traditional festivals such as the brotherhood ceremony, the water wharf worship ceremony... In particular, in the villages, traditional dance teams of the Ede people have been established, attracting a large number of people to participate.
