On the afternoon of November 1, Mr. Do Anh Tuan, Chief of Office of the Nam Dinh Department of Education and Training confirmed that the city's Department of Education and Training has directed to tighten the management of secondary school students (aged 12-15) riding electric motorbikes to school.

The above request was made in the context that the locality is asking to check the responsibility of the heads of secondary schools when allowing unqualified students to drive motorbikes, scooters, and electric vehicles to school.

The official dispatch of the Department of Education and Training of Nam Dinh city requires preschools, primary schools and secondary schools to strengthen coordination with the parents' representative committee in propagating, disseminating and raising awareness of law enforcement on traffic safety and order, ensuring safety for students.

Secondary schools in the area organize for students to sign a commitment not to drive a motor vehicle on the road when they are underage, do not have a driver's license according to the law and "not to drive electric motorbikes to school".

"If any student intentionally goes, the school will ask the student's parents to come and commit to complying with traffic safety laws," the document clearly stated.

The Department also requires that students riding electric bicycles must wear quality-assured helmets with quality inspection stamps according to regulations and not wear fashion helmets when participating in traffic.

Also according to this document, the Department of Education and Training of Nam Dinh city will check the responsibility of the head of the principals of secondary schools in the city in implementing the responsibility of propagating, educating, and managing students to comply with traffic safety laws. Especially with violations by students who are not qualified to drive motorbikes, scooters, and electric scooters to school.
