Participants are agencies, units, localities, enterprises, schools, village/block cultural houses, and historical sites in the city; especially units with headquarters located on main roads and at cultural activities of the local community.
The deadline for registration to participate in the contest is January 20, 2025 (December 21, year of the Dragon). The pole erection time is from January 22 to 28, 2025 (December 23 to 29, year of the Dragon), and will last until February 4, 2025 (January 7, year of the Snake).
The Organizing Committee will select, summarize and award prizes on February 7, 2025 (January 10, At Ty year).
Localities that launch the contest and have many units registering to participate, achieving good quality will also be proposed for rewards. In addition, Hoi An City also organizes an exhibition of images of the Tet pole-raising activities over the years.
The contest aims to preserve and promote the national custom of erecting a pole during Tet; contribute to increasing the joyful and prosperous atmosphere at the beginning of the year in the city and introduce the unique cultural features of Hoi An to domestic and international tourists.
