The Southern Airport Authority in Buon Ma Thuot said that in 2023, Buon Ma Thuot Airport welcomed more than 1.4 million passengers, equivalent to the number of passengers arriving at the Airport in 2022.

In particular, there were times when the number of visitors to Buon Ma Thuot Airport was high in January 2023, reaching 153,141 visitors; February reached 151,447 visitors, June reached 131,303 visitors. This is the peak time of the Lunar New Year and summer holidays, so people's travel needs increased.

Previously, in 2019, Buon Ma Thuot Airport welcomed nearly 1 million passengers, but in 2020 and 2021, due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, passenger volume dropped dramatically. In 2022, the situation returned to normal, with the airport welcoming more than 1.4 million passengers.

Currently, Buon Ma Thuot Airport is operating flights from Buon Ma Thuot to Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi , Da Nang, Nghe An and Hai Phong.
