Recently, the Indonesian press reported that the country's women's football team is preparing to have quality additions from naturalized Dutch players. Coach Satoru Mochizuki admitted that this is the fastest way for Indonesia to strengthen and catch up with the leading women's football teams in Southeast Asia.

Currently, there are 3 players who have officially received Indonesian citizenship and are eligible to play for the Indonesian women's team: Sydney Hopper (born in 2007), Kayla Ristianto (born in 2005) and Katarina Stalin (born in 2009).

In addition, four other faces are in the process of completing procedures and will soon receive Indonesian passports: Noa Leatomu (born in 2003), Estella Loupatty (born in 2003), Talia Grossman (born in 2002) and Nikita Tromp (born in 2002).

It is expected that the 7 players mentioned above will be part of the Indonesian women's team participating in the 2025 AFF Women's Cup qualifiers taking place in November 2024. Before that, the Indonesian women's team will have an official friendly match during FIFA Days in October 2024 against the Netherlands women's team.
