One of the important factors that helped Duc Tho district succeed in digital transformation is the attention and close direction of leaders at all levels. In particular, the district has focused on propaganda work, raising awareness of officials, civil servants and people about the importance of digital transformation. Investment in technology infrastructure, ensuring network security and building digital government, digital economy and digital society have been implemented synchronously and effectively.
Currently, Duc Tho district has successfully deployed many technology applications, including an online payment rate of 93.69% on the National Public Service Portal. In particular, all online public services of the district have been provided on the National Public Service Portal at a rate of 100%, creating favorable conditions for people and businesses to access and use public services.
Success in applying technology to serve economic and social development
A bright spot in digital transformation in Duc Tho is the deployment of technology applications in natural disaster prevention and agricultural management. Specifically, the district has applied Vrain software "Specialized rain gauge system" to serve the advisory and operational direction in natural disaster prevention and water supply for agricultural production, improving management efficiency and minimizing damage caused by natural disasters.
In addition, in the healthcare sector, 100% of health insurance (HI) medical examination and treatment facilities in the area have implemented medical examination and treatment using chip-embedded CCCD cards, helping to reduce administrative procedures and improve people's experience when using healthcare services.
Smart commune model: Pioneer in Tung Anh commune
Duc Tho district has also deployed the smart commune model in Tung Anh commune, one of the typical models in applying information technology to community life. This model not only helps people easily access public services but also improves the efficiency of management and operation of commune-level authorities. The Electronic Information Portal system and the administrative procedure settlement information system have met the needs of people, helping to shorten the time to process records and improve transparency in management.
Despite achieving many positive results, Duc Tho district still continues to have recommendations to promote digital transformation in the coming time. Specifically, the district wishes to be supported in deploying the application of the Intelligent Monitoring and Operation Platform (IOC) at the district People's Committee and commune levels, and to receive support from the Department of Information and Communications in building a radio station system applying IT - Telecommunications at the commune and town levels.
In addition, Duc Tho district also proposed to organize training courses on digital transformation and disseminate legal documents related to the information and communications sector, to improve the capacity of civil servants.
Strong commitment to support
Appreciating the achievements of Duc Tho district, Director of the Department of Information and Communications Dau Tung Lam said that the district needs to continue promoting the achievements and drastically implementing digital transformation tasks according to the actual conditions of the locality. Mr. Dau Tung Lam emphasized that the district needs to focus on developing digital government, digital economy and digital society, while improving the quality of activities of Community Digital Technology Teams.
To support the district, the Department of Information and Communications pledges to continue to accompany and support Duc Tho district in deploying technology applications, creating a solid foundation for the district's digital transformation to be increasingly complete and bring practical results to the people.
With outstanding results in digital transformation, Duc Tho district is becoming a model for applying technology in public administration management and socio-economic development in localities.
