Inauguration and handover of 3 projects "Swimming pools for children"

Welcoming the 6th Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union of Quang Tri province, term 2024 - 2029, today August 17, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union - Secretariat of the Vietnam Youth Union of the province in coordination with Vinaconex Charity Association and friends, People's Committees of Vinh Linh, Trieu Phong, Dakrong districts organized the inauguration and handover of "Swimming pools for children" projects at schools: Quyet Thang Primary School, Vinh Linh district; Trieu Son Primary and Secondary School, Trieu Phong district and Krong Klang Secondary School, Dakrong district.

At the program, the organizers performed the ribbon-cutting ceremony and handed over 3 "Swimming Pools for Children" projects at the 3 above-mentioned schools.

The total value of these swimming pool projects is nearly 1 billion VND, including funding from Vinaconex Charity Association and friends along with counterpart funding from local authorities.

Each swimming pool is designed with 3 swimming lanes with a total length of 24.6 m, width of 8.1 m and height of 1.2 m, installed with a system including: Pool liner, pool cover, roof, protective fence, pool frame made of reinforced aluminum alloy. During the program, Vinaconex Charity Association and friends presented 138 swimming goggles and teddy bears to students of the schools.

“Swimming pools for children” are practical projects that help students access and practice swimming skills to prevent drowning; contribute to reducing the number of children dying from drowning and increase the rate of children who know how to swim in the area.
