The cancer treatment drug factory is over 1.5 hectares wide, with an investment capital of over 500 billion VND, built according to GMP-EU standards (good manufacturing practices according to European standards) with 2 dosage forms: injections (capacity of 3 million products/year) and tablets (70 million products/year). This is the largest cancer treatment drug factory according to GMP-EU standards in Vietnam.

The GMP-EU standard small-volume sterile drug manufacturing plant is 2.5 hectares wide, with an investment capital of VND840 billion. It is expected that by 2027, the plant will be operational with a capacity of 120 million products/year, including injectable drugs, eye drops and other sterile drugs.
According to Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Huong, General Director of Bidiphar, from the state-level science and technology project Research, development and application of technology to produce some cancer treatment drugs at Binh Dinh Pharmaceutical - Medical Equipment Company (assigned by the Ministry of Science and Technology to Bidiphar to implement since 2014), Bidiphar has developed 17 active ingredients with 40 products supplied to treatment facilities. To date, Bidiphar has supplied the market with more than 5 million product units, with prices 40% lower than European drugs on average, and 20% lower than Asian drugs.
Leaders of the Ministry of Health , Ministry of Science and Technology and Binh Dinh province visited the cancer treatment drug factory in Nhon Hoi Economic Zone.
Deputy Minister of Health Do Xuan Tuyen said that Vietnam currently has more than 200 drug production lines meeting GMP-WHO standards. Domestically produced drugs have met more than 60% of treatment needs. This has made an important contribution to ensuring drug supply for the people.
Deputy Minister Do Xuan Tuyen said that the investment in the cancer treatment drug manufacturing plant and the small-volume sterile drug manufacturing plant according to GMP-EU standards has proven Bidiphar's right choice when focusing on research and development of specialized drugs, drugs with advanced preparation techniques and modern technology to replace drugs that are currently imported. Thereby, it has made an important contribution to the Vietnamese health sector's proactive supply of high-quality drugs to serve patients at reasonable costs.
