This morning (August 3), the competition events of Quang Tri International Marathon 2025 - Camel Cup officially took place, bringing thousands of athletes across the sunny roads in Dong Hoi ward.
With perseverance and a spirit of never giving up, many athletes successfully reached the finish line, ending their journey with emotional and proud moments.
On each route, from the first strides in the dawn to the final breakthrough to the finish line, participants are determined to overcome their own limits and persistently pursue their set goals.
On the dreamy running route along the beautiful Bao Ninh beach, amidst the brilliant sunlight and flag colors, Quang Tri has truly become a meeting place for hearts that love sports , where all limits are broken by determination, and sincere emotions are marked by sweat, tears and the joy of victory.
Not only stopping at personal achievements, the tournament also spreads a positive sports spirit to the community, inspiring healthy and active living for all ages. From professional athletes to local people, everyone can find joy when immersing themselves in the bustling, vibrant atmosphere of the running festival.
Female athlete Le Minh Tuan ran without shoes for the last 10km and finished first in the women's 42km distance with a time of 3 hours 16 minutes 44.
"Winning this tournament almost made me want to cry with joy and pride in overcoming unexpected difficulties and obstacles on the track. I am a runner who runs by instinct, listening to my body rather than focusing too much on technique. Today, my result of 3 hours and 16 minutes is not my best result, but it is the best will in the tournaments I have ever participated in," the female 42km champion shared.
Tran Van Thap excellently finished first in the 42km distance for men with a time of 2 hours 57 minutes 23 seconds.
Le Trong Phu (36 years old, Hue ) shared his feelings after winning the 5km race: "Since arriving here yesterday afternoon until now, I have felt extremely excited, the tournament was great, the organizers were thoughtful.
On the final steps to the finish line, an athlete decided to take off his shoes and continue competing barefoot, a moment that demonstrated his perseverance and indomitability in the face of difficulties, leaving many witnesses moved.
The tournament saw the participation of thousands of athletes of all ages. In particular, the image of families walking together, holding hands, to the finish line created meaningful moments, spreading the spirit of solidarity and healthy lifestyle to the community.
Starting to run in 2022, Ms. Phuong Thao has participated in many tournaments, but this time became more special than ever when she walked on the running track with her 2-year-old son Gia Bao.
“My child is still young but he is very excited about the exciting atmosphere of the tournament. I pushed his stroller for the entire 5km, running and enjoying this meaningful moment. It is an unforgettable memory in my journey of motherhood and also the first time my child accompanied me in a sports tournament,” Ms. Thao shared.

The emotional moment when the two young people exchanged a sweet kiss right after reaching the finish line together, demonstrating their love, companionship and encouragement to overcome all challenges.
Another male athlete couple was equally affectionate at the finish line of the 21km run.
The young girl wearing a model airplane with the tournament logo and the message "Brave Quang Tri" successfully crossed the finish line, leaving a strong impression on the race track with an image that was both creative and inspiring about the indomitable spirit of the heroic land.
