New space - new momentum from land resources

After the administrative boundary arrangement, the Southeast region now has 3 localities: Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai and Tay Ninh. Of which, Dong Nai is the province with the largest natural area, with more than 12.7 thousand km². This is not only a valuable resource, but also an important foundation for the province to implement development strategies in both breadth and depth in a synchronous and effective manner.

The advantage of abundant and diverse land funds allows the province to restructure land use planning in a more systematic and scientific way, serving the balanced development between the sectors: industry, agriculture, urban areas, services; at the same time, ensuring the harmony of economic growth and environmental protection goals. For example, in the key strength sector of industry, large land funds are a prerequisite for the province to form large-scale industrial zones and clusters with modern infrastructure, meeting the requirements of attracting domestic and international investment. In agriculture, owning more than 80% of the total natural land area is the basis for building specialized areas, applying high technology to improve productivity and quality, serving the domestic and export markets.

Land is not only a resource, but also a special asset, playing a decisive role in the socio-economic development of each locality. However, possessing advantages is not enough, the problem is to exploit and use effectively, sustainably, and in the right direction to make Dong Nai truly become a dynamic growth center of the Southeast region and the whole country.

Currently, the province is reviewing and adjusting the planning and land use indicators for each sector and field to suit the boundaries and the two-level local government model after the merger. The goal is to create room for socio-economic development associated with national defense, security and international integration. In addition, Dong Nai is also one of the pioneering localities proposing to the Government to allow the pilot implementation of new development models such as: Concentrated information technology zones, Free trade zones around Long Thanh International Airport to maximize the advantages of space and location.

The new space will open up new momentum. From the foundation of abundant land resources, strategic location, key projects under implementation, along with strategic vision and innovative thinking, flexible adaptation, Dong Nai province is gradually affirming its role as one of the most dynamically developing localities in the region, aiming to reach regional and world levels.

In the immediate future, to make this resource the driving force for the target of double-digit economic growth this year and the following years, the province will accelerate the implementation of projects to generate direct and sustainable revenue from land such as: establishing new industrial parks; developing urban areas and high-tech agricultural zones; diversifying logistics services and completing the modern transport infrastructure network.
