ANTD.VN - Closing 2024, data from the published financial statements showed that the total net interest income of 27 banks recorded VND 511,170 billion, an increase of 14.3% compared to 2023. Notably, KienlongBank led the rankings with the highest growth rate of 56.6% in the industry, earning VND 3,191 billion in net interest income in 2024.
Among state-owned banks, by the end of the fourth quarter of 2024, VietinBank recorded net interest income of VND62,403 billion, up 17.8% over the same period. BIDV and Vietcombank ranked second and third, respectively, with net interest income of VND58,008 billion and VND55,406 billion.
In the group of stocks, VPBank continued to lead with net interest income reaching VND49,080 billion, up 28.6% over the same period last year. Meanwhile, MB ranked 5th with net interest income reaching VND41,152 billion, up 6.4%. The remaining positions in the Top 10 belonged to Techcombank, HDBank, ACB, Sacombank and SHB .
In terms of growth rate, KienlongBank leads the rankings with the highest growth rate of 56.6% in the industry, earning VND 3,191 billion in net interest income in 2024. With this positive result, the total accumulated pre-tax profit in 2024 exceeded VND 1,100 billion, completing 139% of the annual plan.
Not only exceeding the profit plan, the financial picture at KienlongBank recorded positive signals with outstanding growth. By the end of the fourth quarter of 2024, KienlongBank's total assets reached VND 92,176 billion, an increase of VND 5,204 billion (equivalent to 6%) over the same period last year, affirming the position of a sustainable commercial bank.

Total capital mobilization reached VND 82,906 billion, an increase of VND 6,963 billion (equivalent to 9.2%); outstanding credit reached VND 61,431 billion, an increase of VND 8,852 billion (equivalent to 16.8%) compared to the previous year - recording a credit growth coefficient higher than the average rate of the entire banking industry.
In addition, BVBank (55.9%), SeABank (40.9%), VietBank (40.6%), HDBank (39.1%), Bac A Bank (39%), LPBank (37.4%); Eximbank (28.9%) VPBank and VietABank (both up 28.6%) are also banks with strong growth in net interest income by the end of the fourth quarter of 2024.
However, there are still some banks that have a decrease in this indicator, some banks even recorded a net loss in profit in 2024.
