Barcelona's number 1 star and the world's current football star, Lamine Yamal , recently had a few moments playing football with children on a football field inside Rocinha.

This is considered the largest favela in Brazil – with a population of more than 72,000 people.

Yamal plays football in Rocinha

Yamal, wearing a Brazilian national team jersey and walking barefoot, passed the ball back and forth with some children and adults on the soccer field.

The Rocinha favela, south of Rio de Janeiro, was one of the destinations he chose to visit when he came to Brazil during the summer break, before joining the Catalan club to start training for the new season.

Yamal went to Brazil with the aim of meeting his idol Neymar , a plan made before the 2024/25 season ended.

He made his dream come true when he reunited with the Brazilian superstar. Neymar is Yamal's biggest role model.

Last Thursday, the two played footvolley, basketball and also took a golf cart ride around Neymar's villa in Mangaratiba, on the Rio de Janeiro coast.

Yamal initially landed in Sao Paulo, where he took the opportunity to visit some tourist attractions and enjoy local cuisine .

On Wednesday evening, he was seen enjoying ice cream at Beco do Batman – an alley known for its street art murals and graffiti by Brazilian and international artists.

Considered one of the most promising young talents in world football, Lamine Yamal has just had an impressive season with Barcelona.

Yamal scored 18 goals and had 21 assists in 55 matches, along with 3 goals and 1 assist in 7 appearances for the Spanish team, and is considered a candidate for the Golden Ball.
