After surgery, the patient's pain and numbness in both arms were greatly reduced, and he could eat, sit, and walk. The doctor continued to develop a rehabilitation plan for the patient using physical therapy.
Dr. Dien added that cervical disc herniation is one of the most common diseases, second only to lumbar disc herniation. When a patient has cervical disc herniation, they will often experience pain, fatigue, and aching in the neck, shoulders, and nape of the neck that spreads down to the arms. If left untreated, it can cause more dangerous complications such as muscle weakness and paralysis.
