Worried about job opportunities in the Electric Car industry

VnExpressVnExpress29/05/2023

I am planning to pursue an electric car career but am concerned about job opportunities. I hope everyone can give me advice.

I have just finished grade 11 and am about to enter grade 12. I plan to study Mechanical - Automotive Engineering because I am passionate about mechanical movements, machine parts, mechanics and I find myself quite suitable for this major. My father also oriented me to study Automotive. If I follow, I want to study Automotive Electricity because of the development of electric vehicles in the near future.

I have researched and found that there are very few schools that train purely in the field of electricity in automobiles. I wonder if I can still work in the electric vehicle field after studying Automotive Engineering? I have studied Math, Physics, and English and will apply with this combination to schools such as Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education and Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry.

I hope you, my colleagues in the profession, can share more about current and future job positions and opportunities in the electric car industry so that I can make the right decision.
