According to GizChina , with its dominant position in the console gaming market with the PlayStation 5, Sony is drawing an open future for the gaming world beyond traditional limits. Accordingly, CEO Kenichiro Yoshida recently shared ambitious visions about PlayStation's journey in the near, medium and long term.

“PlayStation games will be everywhere,” Yoshida asserted. Players will be able to play their favorite titles anytime, anywhere, as long as they have a powerful enough device. PlayStation will remain Sony’s core product, but at the same time, the gaming experience will expand to PC, mobile devices, and cloud platforms.

PlayStation games will be available on multiple platforms

On the trend of game subscription services, Yoshida acknowledged the important role of this model but said that it is not a universal solution. He explained: "Typically, players only focus on one specific game at a time. Therefore, the multi-game subscription model may not provide good value compared to streaming services. Therefore, PlayStation Network will provide a balanced subscription service, combining the subscription model and pay-per-view."

Finally, when asked about the impact of Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard on the direction of PlayStation, Yoshida didn't reveal much, simply saying that Sony will continue to work hard to bring PlayStation players the best games possible.

It can be seen that Sony wants to lead PlayStation towards an explosive future, not only consolidating its leading position in the console market but also expanding to other platforms, promising to bring richer and more diverse gaming experiences to users.
