Son Vi is a border commune, established on the basis of merging 3 communes: Son Vi, Xin Cai and Thuong Phung. During the past term, the Party Committee, government and people in the commune have always been united, creative, overcome all difficulties, strived to complete tasks, thereby reaping many important results in many fields.
Some outstanding results achieved include: Average value of harvested products/ha of crop land reached 40 million VND; 73 effective mixed garden renovation models were implemented; forest coverage rate reached 31.1%; poverty rate decreased by an average of 5.67%/year; 745 temporary houses were eliminated; 158 new party members were admitted.
Along with that, people's material and spiritual life has been increasingly improved; national defense and security have been maintained; Party building work has been focused on; and the political system has been firmly consolidated.
In the 2025-2030 term, the Son Vi Commune Party Committee has set out 3 breakthroughs and 5 key tasks, focusing on promoting the work of building and rectifying the Party and the political system to be clean and strong in all aspects; restructuring the economy, focusing on developing the private economy, developing forestry and border trade economy, developing the production of typical goods associated with the market; strengthening national defense and security; managing and firmly protecting territorial sovereignty and national border security.

Speaking at the Congress, Colonel Lai Tien Giang, Commander of the Provincial Military Command, acknowledged and commended the achievements of the Son Vi Commune Party Committee in the past term. He suggested that the Commune Party Committee continue to focus on directing the removal of difficulties, ensuring the effective operation of the new organizational model; promoting the role of the leader, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the apparatus.
At the same time, promote sustainable economic development; carry out Party building work well, improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party organizations; care for people's lives, and implement social security policies well. Along with that, focus on strengthening national defense and security, maintaining political security, social order and safety, and promoting the movement of All people protecting national security.
At the Congress, the Decisions appointing the Party Committee and the Inspection Committee of the Son Vi Commune Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term were approved. According to the decision, comrade Nguyen Huy Sac was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Son Vi Commune Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.
