Inter Milan are on the verge of winning their first trophy of the season when they face Fiorentina in the Coppa Italia final.
They were successful in winning 2-1 against their opponents. Lautaro Martinez played the hero role by scoring a double in this match.
Back to the match, in the 3rd minute, Fiorentina scored the opening goal. Nicolas Gonzalez got on the scoreboard after a close-range finish in the penalty area. After being doused with cold water, Inter fought back strongly.
In the 29th minute, Lautaro Martinez shone with a diagonal shot, leveling the score at 1-1 for Inter. Not stopping there, just 10 minutes later, the Argentine striker jumped up and shot from close range, raising the score to 2-1.
In the second half, Inter focused on defense. Coach Simone Inzaghi sent Romelu Lukaku onto the field to take advantage of this player's strength in counter-attacks.
In the 67th minute, Lukaku almost scored if goalkeeper Pietro Terracciano had not made an excellent save.
Fiorentina also pushed up their formation to search for a goal but to no avail. In the end, Inter defeated Fiorentina 2-1 to win the Coppa Italia for the second consecutive time.
The team is having good momentum ahead of the 2022/23 Champions League final against Man City.
Inter have two more Serie A games ahead against Atalanta and Torino. Coach Inzaghi's team is striving to finish in the top four this season.
