Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial, Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, Commander of Military Region 7, said: This is a cultural work of profound political , historical and humanistic significance, expressing the infinite respect and gratitude of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, the Military Region Command, officers and soldiers of the Military Region's armed forces towards beloved President Ho Chi Minh.

The Ho Chi Minh Memorial was built at the Military Region Command Headquarters, with a total area of 2,150 square meters. The statue of Uncle Ho is cast in pure red copper, 7.9 meters high; weighs nearly 15 tons; the pedestal is 4.6 meters high, 2.86 meters in shape; the total height of the statue and pedestal is 12.5 meters.
Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang affirmed that this is a very meaningful place for the Party Committee and the Military Region Command to organize important events and offer incense to report to Uncle Ho. Through that, it will educate the tradition, patriotism, and orientation towards the Party and beloved Uncle Ho for all officers and soldiers of the Military Region's armed forces; contribute to promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style; build a clean and strong Military Region Party Committee, a comprehensively strong "Exemplary and typical" armed force.
This is one of the practical activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35th anniversary of National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024), and the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of Military Region 7.

The Commander of Military Region 7 requested officers and soldiers of the armed forces of the Military Region to continue to uphold and promote the glorious tradition of "Infinite loyalty, proactive creativity, self-reliance, solidarity and determination to win"; constantly strive to rise up, achieve even greater achievements, worthy of the trust and love of the Party, State and people.
After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, delegates offered incense in memory of President Ho Chi Minh and visited the Memorial grounds.
