Finally, international billiards events are allowed to be held in Vietnam without the approval of VBSF. The reason is that WCBS highly appreciates the development of billiards in Vietnam.
Previously, the Asian Billiards Sports Federation (ACBS) issued a 6-month suspension order, from June 13, 2024 to January 12, 2025, for VBSF. This action by ACBS was met with strong reactions. The reason for the ban was because Vietnam organized the Hanoi Open - a tournament that ACBS did not license.
