After being recognized as meeting new rural standards in 2019, Lien Son commune, Gia Vien district has done a good job of mass mobilization, mobilizing people to join hands and unanimously maintain and improve the quality of criteria and build a model new rural residential area.
Hamlet 4 is one of 6 hamlets in Lien Son commune striving to be recognized as a model new-style rural residential area in 2023. When starting to build a model new-style rural area, the hamlet encountered many difficulties because most of the criteria had not been met, while some criteria required resources to complete. Faced with that reality, the Party cell of Hamlet 4 identified skillful mass mobilization and mobilizing collective strength as key factors to successfully build a model new-style rural area.
Mr. Dinh Tran Tai, Party Cell Secretary, Head of Hamlet 4, said: The Party Cell has directed Party members and prestigious people in the village to promote propaganda about the program of building a model new-style rural residential area to the people. Party members and prestigious people have promoted their exemplary role, taking the lead, "going to every alley, knocking on every door" to propagate and guide people to actively implement the criteria of a model new-style rural residential area.
With the motto "People know, people discuss, people do, people check, people enjoy", villagers are able to participate in exchanging and discussing ways to implement the criteria for building a model new-style rural residential area. With innovation in propaganda, mobilization, persuasion and methods, people have understood and agreed with the Hamlet Development Board to well implement the criteria such as: renovating village roads and alleys, installing lighting, repairing cultural houses, planting flowers and trees to create a green - clean - beautiful environment, and cleaning up the environment...
Mr. Dinh Cong Toan, a resident of Hamlet 4, shared: After being propagandized by the Party Cell, my family contributed cash and many working days to build rural roads. Particularly from the beginning of 2023 until now, my family has continued to contribute to repair the cultural house, install public lighting and support 40 more flower pots to beautify the hamlet and village. Since the village roads and alleys were concreted and the street lights were lit, it has helped people travel more conveniently. The material and spiritual life of the people has been improved.
"Thanks to good mass mobilization work, the construction of the new rural area in hamlet 4 has achieved many positive results. People have understood and unanimously contributed money and working days to implement the criteria. Up to now, hamlet 4 has basically met the criteria of a model new rural residential area. From now until the end of the year, hamlet 4 will continue to mobilize people and the hamlet development board to complete the remaining tasks so that the district can recognize the model new rural residential area at the end of 2023" - Mr. Dinh Tran Tai, Party Cell Secretary, Head of hamlet 4 affirmed.
According to Mr. Vu Khanh Toan, Secretary of the Party Committee of Lien Son commune, in building new rural areas and building model new rural residential areas, Lien Son commune always focuses on building "Skilled Mass Mobilization" models jointly organized and implemented by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, mass organizations and villages. Mass mobilization work is always innovated from the way of mobilizing, promoting the role and responsibility of Party committees, cadres, party members, replicating models, typical examples of Skilled Mass Mobilization... creating a new atmosphere, new determination to effectively implement the set goals.
The Standing Committee of the Commune Party Committee, the Fatherland Front, mass organizations and the Hamlet Development Board regularly meet and have direct dialogues with the people to grasp the situation and directly direct the removal of obstacles for the grassroots. These solutions have gradually built trust among the people, mobilized the strength of the entire population to participate in emulation movements to build new rural areas and model new rural residential areas.
Thanks to that, from 2019 up to now, from the resources of the superiors and mobilizing the contributions of the people, many infrastructure works serving socio -economic development have been invested in construction such as: Traffic roads from hamlet 3 to hamlet 2, hamlet 1 combined with irrigation and drainage canals; roads from hamlet 4 secondary school to hamlet 5, hamlet 6 to hamlet 7; building village gates; expanding the campus and making the yard of the Cultural House... Besides, with the orientation of the Party Committee of the commune, the Party cells of the hamlets, people have proactively and effectively transformed the structure of crops and livestock.
Up to now, in the villages registered to build model new rural residential areas, there have been some models with high income such as: growing off-season crops; converting 1 rice crop land into 1 rice crop, 1 fish crop and specialized fish farming... Many economic models of family farms and ranches developed in an industrial direction bring high economic efficiency. Along with the development of agricultural economy, the expansion of occupations and services, attracting nearly 1,000 workers to participate, contributing to poverty reduction and promoting economic development.
In addition, the commune has over 2,000 people of working age working as workers in industrial parks and clusters in the district, with a stable income of 7 to 10 million VND/person/month.
In 2022, the average income of the whole commune will reach 45 million VND/person/year (an increase of 1.5 million VND/person/year compared to 2020). The poverty rate will decrease to 2.34% by the end of 2022 (of which the social protection beneficiaries will be 1.59%).
Up to now, Lien Son commune has had 13 hamlets recognized as meeting the standards of a model new-style rural residential area and 6 hamlets are actively completing the criteria to be recognized in 2023. The emulation movement "Skilled mass mobilization" in building new-style rural areas and model new-style rural residential areas in Lien Son commune has had a strong influence and achieved important results.
In the coming time, Lien Son will continue to maintain the "Smart Mass Mobilization" model to propagate and mobilize people to join hands, contribute, and promote internal resources to improve the criteria for building new rural areas and model new rural residential areas in the area.
