The highlight of the second round was the match between defending champions Phong Phu Ha Nam and last season's runner-up Ha Noi. In dire need of a win to regain the top spot, Phong Phu Ha Nam immediately stepped up and attacked. In contrast, Ha Noi did not hesitate to stick with their opponents and launch counterattacks.

They created a huge surprise when they scored the goal to break the deadlock.
