Mai lao ky nam is the name of the work owned by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Su in An Giang . The mai tree is 8 m high from root to top, 6 m wide canopy, 3.4 m wide base, 1.3 m wide trunk, and 0.42 m widest branch.
This yellow apricot tree has a "straight gentleman" shape - a classic shape in Southern bonsai, expressing the qualities of a gentleman: upright, dignified and principled. The tree's upright shape, balanced and neat branches, show discipline and courage. This is a shape that was very popular with ancient Confucian scholars because it contains a noble philosophy of life and moral standards.

In addition, the branches create a "tetragonal branch" shape, which means they are evenly distributed in all four directions. In particular, the tree has a diagonal branch that curves in the shape of the letter "nu", creating the "mai nu" shape. Thanks to that, the tree not only has the strong, sturdy appearance of a gentleman, but also has a soft, supple look, true to the old concept: "vo nu bat thanh mai" (meaning that without feminine features, the apricot tree is not complete).
Mai lao ky nam is highly appreciated by bonsai enthusiasts because it fully converges the four standard elements of bonsai art: co (ancient), ky (rare, elaborate), my (beautiful), van (meaningful). Mai tree is considered a "living heritage" of ancient bonsai art in the South, connecting many elements of art, philosophy and moral education .
In addition, the Institute of Scientific Research and Education and Training (HCMC) also set a record as the Unit implementing a multilingual project on the topic of "Sex Education and Abuse Prevention" for children from 3 to 15 years old, providing the most diverse products and applications in Asia.
