The Department of Industrial Safety Techniques and Environment (DAST) said that on June 21, the water level at hydroelectric reservoirs remained low. It is forecasted that in the coming time, the water flow to the reservoirs will not be high, hydroelectric plants in the Northern and North Central regions will mainly regulate water to ensure minimum flow, generate electricity moderately to ensure the safety of the generators during operation, and increase the water level for electricity generation.
Specifically, today, the water level at Lai Chau Lake is 945 m3/s; Son La Lake: 330 m3/s; Hoa Binh Lake: 330 m3/s; Thac Ba Lake: 55 m3/s; Tuyen Quang Lake: 315 m3/s; Ban Chat Lake: 217.7 m3/s; Trung Son Lake: 255 m3/s; Ban Ve Lake: 39 m3/s; Hua Na Lake: 28 m3/s; Binh Dien Lake: 6 m3/s; Huong Dien Lake: 75 m3/s.
The low water level at Son La hydroelectric reservoir has caused the power plant to operate at a moderate level.
Some lakes are still near dead water level: Thac Ba, Ban Ve, Dong Nai 3.
According to ATMT, the Northern region has entered the flood season but the flow to reservoirs is low, the water level of the reservoirs increases slowly, some hydropower plants are generating electricity at a moderate rate with low flow, water level, and capacity: Son La, Huoi Quang, Ban Chat, Thac Ba, Ban Ve, Thac Mo, Dong Nai 3.
Updated data on the morning of June 21 from the National Power System Control Center (A0) showed that the total load of the power system on June 20 reached 856.6 million kWh. Of which, the North is estimated at about 405.6 million kWh, the Central region is about 79.5 million kWh, and the South is about 370.9 million kWh.
The peak power capacity of the power system (Pmax) at 2 p.m. reached 41,407.1 MW. Specifically, the peak capacity in the South reached 18,417.8 MW, in the North reached 18,871.5 MW and in the Central region reached 4,086.7 MW.
