ASEAN Digital Awards - ADA (formerly ASEAN ICT Awards - AICTA) is one of the largest and most prestigious awards for software and IT solutions from ASEAN countries.
The award has been held annually since 2012. The nominations are judged and evaluated based on many strict criteria by the Jury, which is composed of leaders of the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) from 10 ASEAN countries.
Overcoming the Document Round, the Domestic Evaluation Round of the Ministry of Information and Communications , the Preliminary Round of the International Jury, MobiFone Digital Agriculture Platform (belonging to MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation) became 1 of 4 nominations of Vietnam and was the only product representing MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation to participate in the Final Round (presentation) in Singapore on January 31.
Competing in the Digital Inclusivity category, mobiAgri received high praise from the Jury, which is made up of representatives from 10 ASEAN countries and 3 guest countries (Japan, China, Korea) because mobiAgri brings many outstanding and effective features to farmers:
- AI-powered plant health check, supporting pest diagnosis and treatment with the ability to identify over 5,000 different crops and over 700 pests and diseases.
- Connect Q&A with experts, register for direct consultation when encountering problems in production.
- Crop recommendations and in-depth weather forecasts help users make the most accurate and effective production plans.
Besides, the development team has proven its practical application through impressive numbers of the product even though it was only launched in early 2022.
The Digital Inclusion category focuses on projects and initiatives that use technology to promote digital inclusion and access for disadvantaged groups in society, including farmers.
With this Silver Award, mobiAgri affirms its pioneering role in applying technology to the agricultural sector, contributing to narrowing the digital gap and improving the quality of life for farmers.
