That was the affirmation of Mongolian Prime Minister Oyun-Erdene Luvsannamsrai during a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on the morning of June 27, on the occasion of attending the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Tianjin, China.

The two leaders expressed their delight at the fact that after nearly 70 years of establishing diplomatic relations, the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Mongolia has continuously strengthened and developed.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh conveyed the greetings of Vietnam's senior leaders to the Mongolian Prime Minister; affirmed that Vietnam consistently attaches importance to and wishes to continue consolidating and enhancing the good traditional friendship between the two countries; suggested that both sides promote delegation exchanges at both central and local levels, thereby enhancing mutual understanding and trust; and implement measures to create more favorable conditions for exchanges and mutual interactions between the people of the two countries.

In the context of global and regional fluctuations, strengthening Vietnam-Mongolia relations is of great significance to the people of both countries. Vietnam welcomes and is ready to be a bridge to support Mongolia in expanding and strengthening relations with ASEAN for peace and prosperity in the region and the world.

Prime Minister Oyun-Erdene Luvsannamsrai expressed his pleasure to meet the Prime Minister and respectfully invited the Prime Minister to visit Mongolia; affirming that Mongolia is proud to be a friend of Vietnam - a brave and highly independent nation, a country with increasingly growing international position and prestige in the region and the world and one of the important economic locomotives of Asia. The people of the two countries have a deep understanding of each other on the basis of the long-standing traditional friendship nurtured by many generations of leaders of the two countries.

Prime Minister Luvsannamsrai suggested that both sides should promote the role of the Mongolia-Vietnam Intergovernmental Committee and cooperation mechanisms between the two sides; emphasizing that Mongolia wishes to expand and further enhance cooperation with Vietnam, especially in the fields of transportation, railways, aviation, people-to-people exchange, tourism, etc.

The two Prime Ministers discussed a number of international and regional issues of mutual concern, including the role of multilateralism and compliance with international law.
