According to the recommendation of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), 3 clubs using the same field in the V-League will overload this field, affecting the professional quality of the matches.
Previously, the AFC did not pay much attention to the sharing of stadiums by clubs in domestic tournaments.
However, in October 2023, the Asian Football Confederation introduced new regulations. According to these regulations, only a maximum of two clubs should use the same stadium in the same tournament.
VFF said that the three clubs CAHN, Hanoi FC and The Cong Viettel must sit down together before reaching an agreement on which team will leave Hang Day Stadium.
It is worth noting that AFC has not given a specific time for one of the three clubs mentioned above to leave Hang Day Stadium, so VPF and VFF are trying to negotiate with the Asian Football Federation, to postpone the departure until next season.
However, sooner or later, some teams will be forced to leave Hang Day Stadium. Currently, in addition to Hang Day Stadium, Hanoi also has My Dinh Stadium.
The reason why football teams currently stationed in Hanoi rarely use this field is because My Dinh Stadium is far from the center, and the field is larger (capacity of 40,000 people) than the actual needs of fans, making the effect from the stands not high.
My Dinh Stadium is still used by Hanoi teams when competing in Asian cups but not when they compete in the V-League.
Near Hanoi, there are some stadiums that meet the standards for V-League competitions such as Lach Tray Stadium (Hai Phong, about 100km from Hanoi), or Ha Nam Stadium (about 50km from Hanoi).
