The Drug Administration of Vietnam ( Ministry of Health ) has just decided to suspend circulation and recall nationwide the batch of Gammaphil facial cleanser (125ml bottle), because the product contains the preservatives methylparaben and propylparaben but is not declared in the product declaration file.
Notably, the Gammaphil brand product was once heavily promoted by TikToker Vo Ha Linh (known as the “god of livestream”). In her introductory video , she said that the brand’s cleanser is paraben-free, soap-free, non-pore-clogging, and suitable for sensitive skin, even recommended by dermatologists.

Recently, Vo Ha Linh's side made an official announcement, through a Facebook page with more than 2.1 million followers.
Accordingly, she confirmed that she bought and used Gammaphil cleanser herself as a consumer. After a period of experience, she shared her feelings in the video "Sharing how to use Klenzit Megadou!" posted on January 2, 2022 on the YouTube channel Ha Linh Official.
At the same time, it is affirmed that "This video has no booking (advertising) from the Gammaphil brand."
Ha Linh emphasized that in the video she posted, she clearly stated both the advantages and disadvantages of the product. Information about the ingredients as well as the words "paraben-free" were shared accurately, based on the packaging of the 500 ml bottle that she used at the time of February 2022.
She also said that the packaging of the product she used at that time was different from the batch that was just recalled (batch GMPA010524, manufactured on May 2, 2024, expiration date May 2, 2027).

Committed to listening to feedback
As someone who has directly used and shared their experience with the product, Ha Linh shared that they have reviewed all old content to avoid the old videos from being recommended to viewers in an incomplete manner. At the same time, the team also updated recommendations and transparently informed consumers.
Accordingly, TikToker recommends that customers who own Gammaphil products in the recalled batch (125 ml bottle, batch number GMPA010524 - information printed on the packaging) should stop using them immediately and contact the manufacturer, seller or large pharmacy systems for instructions on recall and destruction according to regulations of the Ministry of Health .
For other product batches, users should carefully check the ingredients and packaging. Also consult a dermatologist or specialist, especially if you have sensitive skin or are treating acne.
