Hanoi Pedagogical University 2 will organize its own exam in June 2025 with 8 subjects.
Hanoi Pedagogical University 2 ( Vinh Phuc ) has just announced a project to organize an independent exam for admission in 2025. This is the third pedagogical university to have its own exam, after Hanoi Pedagogical University and Ho Chi Minh City Pedagogical University.
Accordingly, the school organizes 8 exams, including: Literature, Math, English, History, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography. Of these, Literature is tested in the form of multiple choice and essay. The remaining subjects are tested in the form of multiple choice.
Hanoi National University of Education 2 said that the exam content closely follows the 2018 General Education Program. The assessment content is within the high school general education program, in which the content is mainly for grade 12.
The exam is expected to be held in June at Hanoi Pedagogical University 2 and some high schools in Vinh Phuc province (if necessary). The exam fee is 200,000 VND/subject/session.
Regarding the reason for holding a separate exam, Hanoi Pedagogical University 2 said that in recent years, many policies of the Party and State have had a positive impact on teacher training and key priority sectors for development. The number of candidates applying for university admission to the school has increased dramatically with the candidates' permanent addresses in all 63 provinces/cities.
This reality requires schools to have appropriate enrollment plans to increase input quality, one of the important factors determining output quality.
In recent years, Hanoi National University of Education 2 has used several admission methods: direct admission and priority admission, admission using high school academic results (transcripts), admission using high school graduation exam results.
Starting from 2022, the school will use an additional admission method based on the results of independent exams of Hanoi National University, Ho Chi Minh City National University, Hanoi National University of Education, and Ho Chi Minh City University.
The school said that, however, in reality, there are some shortcomings in the school's enrollment and training. For teacher training programs, the assigned enrollment quota is small, the high school graduation exam scores are not highly differentiated, so the admission scores are very high but still cannot meet the expenses. In addition, there is a large difference in admission scores between the enrollment methods...
"The development and implementation of the project to organize an independent university entrance exam is of high urgency, contributing to promoting the innovation process and improving the quality and effectiveness of university admissions of the school in particular and the whole country in general," informed Hanoi National University of Education 2.
In 2024, the benchmark score of Hanoi National University of Education 2 based on high school graduation exam results ranges from 15.35 to 28.83 points, the highest being History Pedagogy and Literature Pedagogy.
With the method of considering transcripts, the school has 9 majors that take over 29/30 points. The highest is still Literature Pedagogy with 29.8 points.
There are currently about 10 aptitude and thinking assessment exams nationwide organized by universities. Of these, the exams of Hanoi National University, Ho Chi Minh City National University, and Hanoi University of Science and Technology attract the most candidates and are used by many schools for admission.
The two exams of Hanoi Pedagogical University and Ho Chi Minh City Pedagogical University also have more and more candidates participating.
