On the evening of March 20, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union announced the voting results for the Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces Award 2023, announcing 10 Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces of 2023 and 9 Promising Young Vietnamese Faces of 2023.
In the top 10 Outstanding Young Faces of 2023, there is only one face in the field of study, Dinh Cao Son, a former student of Ha Tinh High School for the Gifted, Ha Tinh province, currently a student of Hanoi Pedagogical University. Son won the Gold Medal at the International Chemistry Olympiad IchO, was the contestant with the highest score of the Vietnamese team, ranked 7th out of nearly 350 students from 89 countries and territories.
Pham Viet Hung, who studied at the High School for Gifted Students of Natural Sciences , Vietnam National University, Hanoi, is currently a student at the University of Chicago, USA, and Nguyen Tuan Phong, who studied at Bac Ninh High School for Gifted Students, Bac Ninh province, and is currently a student at Hanoi University of Science and Technology, are on the list of 9 Promising Young Vietnamese Faces of 2023.

The 2023 Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces Award has 171 nominations from 58 units, an increase of more than 15 nominations compared to 2022. The nominations are in 10 fields: Study; Scientific Research - Creativity; Production Labor; Business - Startup; National Defense; Security and Order; Sports; Culture and Arts; Social Activities; State Administrative Management.
The Ceremony to honor Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces of 2023 is scheduled to take place on the evening of March 23 in Hanoi. Within the framework of the Ceremony, it is expected that the leaders of the Party, State and Government will have a meeting with Outstanding and Promising Young Vietnamese Faces of 2023.
Regarding the rewards, in addition to the Certificate of Merit from the Central Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; Commemorative Medal of the Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces Award 2023... the cash reward for the Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces of 2023 is 50 million VND/person, and 20 million VND/person for the Promising Young Vietnamese Faces of 2023.
In addition, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Vietnam Young Talent Support Fund and outstanding and promising Vietnamese Young Faces will have a series of gratitude activities and a journey back to the source in the capital Hanoi; and some locations in the Northern region.
